Marumiya Mapo Tofu Sauce Mix Extra Spicy 3 servings × 2 pouches
The Extra Spicy variety of Marumiya's mapo tofu range is the most full-flavoured of the lineup, built on a layered base of chilli bean paste, doubanjiang, douchi, sweet bean paste, and chilli sauce alongside scallop extract for additional umami depth. The heat level is pronounced and builds steadily through the dish, and the separately included sansho pepper can be added at the end for the characteristic numbing, citrusy tingle that takes the dish closer to a Sichuan-style mapo tofu. Each pack makes two separate three-person servings with just tofu and water needed.
