Sanko Seika Niigata Jikomi Soy Sauce Senbei Rice Crackers 126g
Senbei made with 100% Japanese rice has a particular quality to it — a clean, dry crunch that is hard to replicate. Sanko Seika's Niigata Jikomi Shoyu Senbei uses rice from Niigata, long considered the heartland of Japanese rice culture, and seasons each cracker twice with a blend of tamari and dark soy sauce before lightly charring in the oven.
That double layering gives a deep, rounded umami with a hint of caramelised sweetness — the kind of flavour that keeps you reaching into the bag. Individually wrapped in pairs, they are easy to portion out for a desk snack or afternoon break, and pair naturally with hojicha or green tea.
Ingredients
Rice, soy sauce (12%) (water, soybeans, wheat, salt), starch, humectant (sorbitol), sugar, dextrin, fermented seasoning (rice, fructose syrup, maltodextrin, salt), flavour enhancers (monosodium glutamate, disodium 5'-ribonucleotide), colours (plain caramel, paprika extract), salt, emulsifier (acetic acid esters of mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids), chilli pepper.
