Sato Shokuhin Sato no Kirimochi Pari-to Slit Rice Cakes 700g
Details
Sato no Kirimochi is one of Japan's most trusted cut rice cake brands, made by Sato Shokuhin using 100% Japanese-grown glutinous rice processed by the traditional kine-tsuki pounding method. The Pari-to Slit version features a shallow cut pressed into the surface of each piece before packaging — this allows steam to escape evenly during cooking, which produces a more uniform puff when toasted and prevents the outer crust from cracking unevenly. Each piece is individually sealed in Sato's proprietary Nagamochi Film, an oxygen-absorbing transparent film that maintains the fresh-pounded flavour and texture throughout the shelf life without the need for freshness-preservation agents. The result is a mochi that toasts up golden and evenly risen in a toaster oven, holds together well in simmered dishes, and can also be split by hand when needed. The 700g bag is a generous everyday size that suits regular use through the colder months, and pairs naturally with soy sauce and nori, sweet red bean paste, or a bowl of ozoni soup.
