The blend uses beans certified under the company's own ARK standard — a programme that traces each origin back to its producers and selects only those that meet Ogawa's specific flavour and quality criteria. Beans from Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, and Ethiopia are roasted separately under the "After Mix" method, where each origin and roast level is developed individually before blending, allowing the distinct character of each bean to come through rather than being smoothed out in a single roast. The result is a cup with soft, rounded flavour — gently fragrant, with balanced bitterness, acidity, and body that sits comfortably at any time of day.
