Osamado Almond-age (Almond Fried Rice Crackers)

A salted okaki from Osamado Honten, a long-established maker founded in 1924 in Asakusa, Tokyo, made with its traditional craft. Plenty of crushed almonds are kneaded into a dough of Japanese glutinous rice. Within its soft texture, the aroma and pleasant crunch of almond appear with every bite. The sweetness of mochi rice, the nutty fragrance of almond and a clean, light saltiness come together — a moreish meeting of East and West.
