Wasanbon is a rare sugar refined in the Sanuki region, built upon sugar-making techniques passed down from Awa during the Edo period. Produced from locally cultivated sugarcane and still shaped by hand today, it represents a delicate and time-honoured sweet tradition.
Its defining qualities are a fine, melt-away texture and an elegant sweetness that gently dissolves on the palate.
Respecting the natural flavour of its ingredients, each piece is formed through repeated kneading and pressing by skilled artisans — a taste that quietly evokes the changing of the seasons.
