The Pumpkin variety of Ishibashiya's Zakkoku Konnyaku Noodles shares the same grain konjac base as the Spinach version — konjac flour blended with rice flour, mochi millet, mochi foxtail millet, and barnyard millet — but uses kabocha pumpkin in place of spinach to give the noodles a warm golden-yellow colour and a subtle natural sweetness that comes through in the flavour. Like the rest of the range, these noodles contain no wheat, no artificial colouring, and no additives of any kind, making them a naturally gluten-free option with a clean ingredient list. The star-shaped cross-section gives each noodle a smooth, pleasant texture through the palate and a good surface for sauces and broths to cling to. Ready after a quick rinse in water with no cooking required. The golden tone makes them particularly well-suited to warm, lightly seasoned broth dishes, cold noodle salads, and stir-fries where their colour adds a natural visual warmth to the bowl.
