Marumiya has been a household name in Japanese mapo tofu since the brand pioneered ready-to-use mapo tofu sauce kits in Japan. The Mild variety delivers the rounded, savoury flavour of a well-made mapo tofu without strong heat — sesame oil and fermented bean paste give the sauce its depth, while a specially selected potato starch thickener creates the silky, glossy coating that makes the dish so satisfying over rice. Simply add water and tofu for a complete dish in just a few minutes. Each pack serves three, making it a practical choice for a midweek dinner.
