Delicate, crisp and moreish, these thin round crackers from FuYiShan, a long-established Chiayi bakery in Taiwan, are made with anka (red yeast rice), which lends them a natural rosy hue and a gentle, subtly savoury depth. Enriched with condensed milk and butter, each cracker has a light, biscuity snap and a mellow, milky sweetness that makes them easy to keep reaching for. Baked with no artificial colours or flavours and suitable for lacto-vegetarians, they are lovely straight from the pack with tea or coffee, or alongside cheese. Once opened, best enjoyed the same day for maximum crispness.
