Kaneshichi Mainichi Shiawase Kombu Dashi Powder 4g x 30 Sticks
Details
A clean, single-origin kelp dashi from Kaneshichi, a Toyama-based maker with a long history in Japanese stock and seasoning. Each 4g stick contains granulated kombu powder made without any flavour enhancers or MSG — just kelp, maltose, salt, yeast extract, and starch — producing a gentle, naturally sweet dashi with the characteristic depth of good kombu. One stick makes dashi for three to four bowls of miso soup, and works equally well in udon broth, simmered dishes, hot pot, and chawanmushi. The inner foil lining of each stick protects against moisture and can be folded over if you don't use the full amount at once, so nothing goes to waste. The thirty-stick format keeps well for up to two years, making it a reliable cupboard staple as well as a considered gift for anyone who cooks Japanese food regularly at home.
Ingredients
Kombu powder (manufactured in Japan), maltose (manufactured in Japan), salt, yeast extract, starch
