Born in the Meiji era and rooted in the backstreets of Ningyocho, Tokyo — Imahan has been perfecting the art of sukiyaki for over 130 years. This Warishita Straight Type brings that same heritage to your kitchen, without any adjustment or dilution required.
Naturally brewed Japanese soy sauce forms the base, rounded by hon-mirin's gentle sweetness and sake's quiet depth. Konbu dashi softens the overall profile, adding a mineral warmth that lifts the meat without overpowering it. Pour directly into the pan — the balance has already been calibrated.
Free from any preservatives, this warishita works beautifully as the foundation of a traditional sukiyaki, or as a braising liquid for tofu and seasonal vegetables.
