Iris Foods' Usu-Kiri mochi is a thin-cut version of the classic Japanese rice cake, designed to cook through quickly — just three minutes in boiling water or hot soup. Made from 100% domestically grown glutinous rice from Iwate Prefecture, each 27g piece is individually wrapped and pre-scored so it can be broken easily by hand. The thinner cut makes it particularly well suited to hot pot and soup dishes, where it absorbs the surrounding broth and becomes soft and pleasantly chewy in a short time. Ten pieces per pack, easy to store and use one at a time.
