Kikkoman Chilled Somen Noodle Soup Citrus Shikuwasa & Dashi 150g
This is a chilled somen noodle soup with a difference — Kikkoman has combined the fragrant citrus juice of Okinawan shikuwasa with a carefully composed dashi base of shiitake, kelp and bonito to create something that feels genuinely refreshing without being sharp or thin. The shikuwasa is brighter and more aromatic than standard lemon or yuzu, with a floral edge that lifts the savoury depth of the dashi rather than fighting it.
Simply pour it straight from the pouch over cooked and chilled somen, and the dish is ready. For something a little different, the soup can also be frozen to create a granita-style slushy topping — a simple but pleasing way to serve cold noodles on a warm day.
