WASO Air-Flown Fresh Kyoho Grape from Yamanashi 400-500g (1 Bunch)
Details
A single bunch of Kyoho grapes from Yamanashi Prefecture, air-freighted directly from Japan and available fresh at WASO in London. Yamanashi is Japan's foremost grape-producing region, and Kyoho — literally "Giant Peak," named after Mount Fuji — is the most iconic Japanese table grape variety, developed in Japan in 1937 and beloved for its large, deep purple-black berries, rich deep sweetness, and the characteristic fruity fragrance that sets it apart from European and American varieties. The skin is thick and separates easily from the flesh, which is thick, juicy, and intensely sweet with a gentle residual acidity. Kyoho at their peak — harvested at the height of the Japanese summer season — are a genuinely exceptional piece of fruit, the kind that is given as a gift in Japan rather than eaten casually. Each bunch weighs 400–500g and arrives as fresh as the flight will allow. Best eaten chilled, at their own pace, one berry at a time.
