S&B Yuzu Kosho Japanese Citrus Chilli Paste 80g

Yuzu kosho is one of Japan's most distinctive condiments — a pungent, aromatic paste made from yuzu citrus peel, green chilli and salt, with a flavour that is simultaneously bright, hot and deeply savoury in a way that few other seasonings can match. S&B's jarred version uses 100% Japanese-grown yuzu and has recently been reformulated with a higher proportion of yuzu in the blend, so the citrus character comes through more clearly against the heat of the green chilli. A small amount goes a long way — it is most naturally paired with hotpot dishes, yakitori, gyoza and grilled meats, but works equally well stirred into pasta, spread onto steak or used as an accent in dressings and dipping sauces.
