Wei Lih Vegetarian Jah Jan Paste 175g
A vegetarian take on the iconic Taiwanese zha jiang paste from Wei Lih, the company behind the legendary Wei Lih Jah Jan instant noodle (launched 1978) and Taiwan's number-one dry-noodle brand. Aged fermented soybean paste forms the savoury, lightly malty base, with chilli paste, sesame oil and textured soy protein standing in for the traditional minced pork - sweet, salty and umami-rich with a gentle warmth. Stir 15g of paste through every 100g of cooked noodles for a classic Taiwanese Jah Jan noodle in seconds; equally good as a dipping sauce for steamed buns or spooned over warm rice. 175g glass jar; refrigerate after opening.
