Details
This Hokkaido-grown pumpkin is air-freighted directly from Japan by WASO. Grown in Hokkaido's cool climate over a long cultivation period, it's known for its floury, fluffy texture and natural sweetness reminiscent of chestnuts. Its quality is endorsed by WASO's Hideki Hiwatashi, himself a Hokkaido native, letting you enjoy the true essence of Japanese cuisine at home. The skin is edible and can be cooked as is — perfect for simmered pumpkin finished with dashi, soy sauce, mirin and sugar, as well as roasts, soups, croquettes and tempura. Each pumpkin weighs 300-400g, an easy size for one to two servings.
