Ajinomoto Umami Seasoning MSG Panda Shaker Bottle 70g
Ajinomoto's umami seasoning is the original MSG product — first developed in Japan in 1908 after scientist Kikunae Ikeda isolated glutamic acid from kombu seaweed and identified it as the source of a distinct savoury taste he named "umami." The product is made by fermenting sugarcane molasses, using the same basic process as miso, soy sauce, and sake, and the resulting crystals dissolve instantly and distribute evenly through a dish. A small pinch added during cooking deepens the flavour of soups, stir-fries, marinades, and sauces without altering the taste profile — it simply makes everything taste more fully of itself.
