Ebara’s Puchitto Udon range delivers a full portion of concentrated noodle broth in a single squeezable pod — just tear and squeeze the pod directly into a bowl of hot cooked udon noodles, add a splash of hot water, and the sauce disperses immediately into a finished broth. No separate pot of dashi required, and no measuring. The Seafood Tonkotsu Soy Sauce variety is one of the more complex flavours in the range, combining a soy sauce base with pork extract, pork fat, and a layered dashi from katsuobushi bonito and niboshi dried sardine alongside roasted garlic, fried garlic, spring onion, and chilli for warmth. The result is a savoury, deeply flavoured broth that sits somewhere between a classic Japanese noodle soup and a richer, fuller tonkotsu-influenced style. The four-pod pack covers four individual servings, and the pods are compact enough to keep in a cupboard and use one at a time. A practical shortcut for a well-flavoured bowl of udon on any weeknight.
