Koon Chun Sauce Factory has been one of Hong Kong's most respected sauce makers since 1928, and its hoisin sauce is considered a benchmark by chefs and home cooks across the Chinese-speaking world. Rich, glossy and deeply savoury with rounded sweetness, the sauce is built on a generous 37% soybean paste base, lifted by rice vinegar, garlic, sesame seed oil and salted chilli. No artificial colourants, preservatives or flavour enhancers are added, and the product carries HKQM and Halal certification. Essential for Peking duck pancakes, char siu glazes and Mongolian beef. Also excellent brushed over grilled pork ribs, stirred into stir-fries, or thinned with a little water to use as a dipping sauce for rice rolls and fresh spring rolls.
